In the 2019 season, the team will be competing at the highest level under the "Alfa Romeo Racing" name. Representing them are an Italian driver, Antonio Giovinazzi, alongside Kimi Raikkonen, the former 2007 world champion.

The Geneva stand proudly displays the limited "Alfa Romeo Racing" edition Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which embody the racetrack by featuring their own specific livery. Furthermore, you can see the return of the historic "Turismo Internazionale" name, which was awarded to the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The new Ti trim represents the best in sportiness, which is why it was also awarded to the Giulia Veloce Ti.

With three trims and four accessory packs, the new Giulietta MY19 represents an even more tailored approach. It truly allows people to express their personality through their car. Gracing the stage is a Giulietta Executive (not available in the UK) with Visconti Green paintwork, and the sporty Giulietta Veloce. The display truly embraces every aspect of customisation, also featuring a section that is dedicated to Mopar accessories, the ultimate brand dedicated to assistance, parts and customer care for FCA vehicles.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" limited edition

The true stars of the display area are undoubtedly the limited edition Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" limited edition. These cars celebrate Alfa Romeo's ever deepening participation and involvement in the Formula 1 world championship, in partnership with Sauber. Starting this year, the team has adopted the new official name - "Alfa Romeo Racing", with the highly significant "since 1910" addition.

The date is a reference to Alfa Romeo's founding year, 24 June 1920, firmly rooting them in motorsport history. In fact, just one year after they were founded, Alfa Romeo made its debut in an official competition, winning the first Regularity Race in Modena. Since then, its sporting legend has been solidified with a string of victories and top three finishes in many international championships, including Formula 1. The synergy between Sauber and Alfa Romeo, Title Sponsor since 2018, has ensured a steady progression, helping the team finish in eight place this past season.

Today, the technical and commercial bonds between the two partners are being consolidated even further under the same management and ownership. Two partners share the share ambition - to win as many races as possible. Visitors to the Geneva International Motor Show will be able to admire the team's car, which will be driven by former world champion Kimi Raikkonen and young Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi.

The latter's presence is a real source of national pride, because it's the eight year since an Italian driver has regularly appeared in Formula 1. Aside from the Formula 1 car, the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio "Alfa Romeo Racing" cars have just as much pull. This limited edition features exclusive paintwork as a tribute to the Alfa Romeo Racing C38. It is also packed with unique stylistic details, such as Sparco racing seats with red stitching and carbon shell structure, the Mopar automatic transmission lever with carbon insert and leather and Alcantara steering wheel, as well as carbon inserts.

Inside, a special celebratory badge with the Alfa Romeo Racing logo makes a real statement. Expressing the excitement of the racetrack are technical details, such as the exposed carbon fibre roof on the Giulia, the burnished alloy wheels and the red brake callipers. Furthermore, these limited editions are equipped with an exclusive Akrapovic titanium exhaust to emphasise the deep and bold sound of the 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine, which was specifically tuned by Alfa Romeo engineers to increase power output.

The adoption of the titanium exhaust, a braking system with carbon ceramic discs and Sparco seats with a carbon shell, make the car much lighter than its regular production counterparts. Carbon is also widely used on the mirror caps, the "V" insert in the front trilobe, the side skirt inserts, and the kick plates (on Giulia). This ensures the optimal transfer of power to the ground, even when the car is pushed to its dynamic limits. This maximises driving safety and fun, without encountering an invasive stability control system.

When in Race mode, the 8 speed ZF automatic transmission, is specifically calibrated to shift in just 150 milliseconds. The transmission has a lock up clutch to give the driver a powerful, precise feeling of in gear acceleration. Depending on the DNA mode set, the new automatic transmission optimises fluidity, comfort and ease of driving in all environments, including around town. It also further improves fuel efficiency and cuts CO2 emissions. In other words, we offer excellence rather than just performance.

The Alfa Romeo SUV and the saloon are also incredibly efficient, in terms of emission and fuel efficiency, thanks to their electronically controlled cylinder deactivation system and the sailing function, which is available in Advanced Efficiency driving mode. Last but not least, both models are equipped with paddle shifters made from solid aluminium, which are integral in the steering column, to maximise the driving experience.
